Beyond Category Music! (All things voice-focused!)
Upon returning from receiving a Bachelor’s in Music Ed from the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music, I sang several years with The Cleveland Orchestra and Blossom Festival Choruses, under the direction of Robert Page. But, with a voice likened to that of Sarah Vaughan, I started singing classic jazz. In later years, I added neo-soul, R&B, reggae, and even some rock to my classical repertoire. If the song fit my voice, whatever the genre, I’d give it a try!
Music has given me opportunities to perform nationally, and was critical to my peace of mind and my excitement for life, through all I saw in my nursing career, and through life in general.

So, I sang “Hurt” (by Trent Reznor, HE OWNS the RIGHTS) for a guy who was in a collegiate recording arts program. First time singing it and I kinda liked it! Good thing, because School of Rock was on the horizon!
